Position Summary

The Department of Medicine/Infectious Diseases Section Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) has an opening for a Program Manager, Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center (SEAETC).

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager will be responsible for implementing overall strategies, policies, and monitoring related to Morehouse School of Medicine’s Southeast AIDS Education and Training Center (SE AETC/MSM). The Manager will provide goal-oriented solutions for SE AETC/MSM Faculty, Staff, and Consultants in order to meet established workplan objectives reporting requirements within the Manager’s coverage area, the State of Georgia. Working with Co-Principal Investigators, the Manager will develop medical provider training programs by planning and executing live trainings, webinars, and other forms of telehealth learning. Assist in planning symposiums for clinicians to increase their capacity to treat and care for patients with HIV/AIDS. Create sustainable relationships with local healthcare agencies and the regional healthcare community. The Manager will serve as liaison for all communication between the MSM office and SE AETC central office at Vanderbilt and will also track expenditures for travel planning, reimbursements, and equipment. The manager will travel extensively through the state of Georgia, within the region assigned. Ability to travel is required.

REPORTING AND SUPERVISION:

Under the supervision of the Co-Principal Investigators, the incumbent will work on projects related to MSM’s sub-contracts with the SE AETC located at Vanderbilt University. The incumbent is supervised and evaluated by the PI’s with oversight of the Department Administrator.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Experience: 2-4 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters In Public Health degree or a Bachelor degree or equivalent in Health care-related area and 3 to 5 years of experience in HIV program management and development, health education program implementation, conference development, and/or working with other healthcare public and private entities.
We are seeking a professional with excellent organizational and communication skills; proficient in use of software application including databases, spreadsheets, word processing. Candidate must have high degree of self-motivation and ability to function independently and provide appropriate supervision to program staff
